Benevolence

In an effort to show the compassion of Christ to others, the West University congregation has always been engaged in various forms of charity, benevolence and relief work.

On-site, we have what we call a “care corner” in the church office, where we can supply those in need with portable, non-perishable snacks and water.

Locally, we often work through and with the Impact Church of Christ, our sister church, through feeding the homeless on a Friday evening. We also work together with The Point, the campus ministry for the University of Houston. Through one of our elders and their family, we also support the work of BIG Love Cancer Care. We do also support the work of Lifeline Chaplaincy and the needs that they meet for those who come to the Texas Medical Center in dire need.

On a broader level, we provide for some of the needs of the Sunny Glen Children’s Home in Medina, TX. We also support the work of Impact Temple, a church planted by a former Associate Minister, Roy Rhodes.
